Information Technology Coordinator

(1 Position – Full Time Temporary)

Position Overview
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for an Information Technology Coordinator position based out of its Salmon Arm, BC office.
 
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the Information Technology Coordinator supports the day- to-day information technology needs of the Regional District including network connectivity, computer infrastructure, security architecture, end-user devices, and support service needs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in IT/Computer Science or in a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, preferably within a unionized, local government environment.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the following:
    • High availability data centre switching
    • Networking and connectivity to cloud service providers, IP routing using OSPG and BGP and Site-to-site (S2S) and client access VPNs using IPSec and SSL
    • Service provider connectivity using Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, and VPLS
    • Network Access Control and network security
    • Firewall policies, content filtering, intrusion protection, and address translation
    • Voice and multimedia systems, media signaling, and border controllers
    • Network quality of service
  • Experience and/or certificates in operating or managing the following technology is desirable:

    • Windows 10/11/Server 2019/2022, iOS
    • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Apps
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • SQL
    • IP LAN and Wi-Fi communication
    • DNS and DHCP communication
    • Active Directory
    • Audio/Video Equipment, Printing and POS equipment
    • Intune
    • Group Policy
    • Cloud-based solutions in Azure
    • Cisco Meraki and Cisco Duo and Webex Communications
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.

Additional Information
Position Type:
Permanent full time (35 hour work week)
Union: CUPE Local 1908
Salary Range: $2,799.08 to $3,123.45 bi-weekly (January 2024 rates)
Hours of Work: Typical hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Option to work an additional half hour and participate in flex schedule.)
 
Employees are required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment with the CSRD prior to their start date (Policy A-84).
